PRENATAL HOME CARE

Four hour minimum per visit.

Just like postpartum home care, the Doula offers expert care and a calming, reassuring presence in your home. Much of the same care provided in postpartum setting is offered before birth.

This is especially helpful when...

  • Mothers' who have been put on bedrest due to medical necessity.

  • Mother or partner is dealing with an illness, injury or disability

  • In person support from family and friends is not a viable option

  • Partner may need to be away around due date.

  • Single parent who could use support preparing for baby.

We are by your side to...

  • Answer questions

  • Provide Childbirth education. Whether the Doula is your primary educator or you’ve already taken classes, we will continue to share information to best prepare you for birth.

  • Sort through the seemingly endless choices of newborn gear and help choose the best items for you and your growing family. We tend toward back to basics and generally follow a “less is more” philosophy. Over the years we’ve found that babies do not require a whole lot of “stuff”.

  • We can offer helpful advice and weigh in about what brands, products, items and gear we as well as what our previous families like and have found works best.

  • Help organize nursery and/or living space to accommodate baby

  • Help stock/prepare nourishing foods/meals to store for early postpartum period.

  • If hospital birth is planned, we go over and make ready what is needed for family for hospital stay.

  • If home birth is planned, we discuss what is needed/wanted and prepare space accordingly.
