So much attention gets placed on the birth experience that most often, that which follows gets lost in the shuffle. All the essential daily tasks...feeding, caring for baby, caring for yourself, requires the utmost attention. Not only do we offer support, education and advocacy throughout the pregnancy, labor and delivery, we remain available to make certain that you are taken care after the birth on into the "Fourth Trimester". That amazing - and yes, nearly always overwhelming - first three months of change and acclimation.

After the birth, parents often find that they could use a bit of guidance getting started as they emerge into their new roles. In fact, we have found that this is one of the areas that new parents require the most support. As experienced Doulas and parents ourselves, we are by your side to help you with everything from understanding your postpartum body, reading your baby's cues and newborn feeding support, to optimizing and setting up your space and even help you with handling pets and siblings. Having a child is an incredible process that down through time, in all cultures around the world, has been supported by the entire community. We can be called upon to provide care for new families that goes beyond labor and delivery extending into the days and weeks after labor and delivery.

Let’s talk about lactation for a second. This is one of the major concerns for expectant parents. Most new parents don’t have experience with newborn feeding. We offer lactation counseling sessions that can help you understand all the fundamentals and troubleshooting of nursing your baby. Part and parcel of New Parent Mentoring, these sessions cover everything from reading and understanding newborn feeding cues

, troubleshooting to making sure you know what to expect.

We offer support through the entire pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey.
