CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION
Three-hour in home intensive.

We support and encourage group childbirth ed classes. We know that group participation allows for hearing other's questions, ideas and concerns, sparking discussion. We also personally know who the most experienced instructors are and can recommend the best group classes. However, if after a discussion it appears private instruction is best, we move forward to fit your needs. Our approach to childbirth ed differs from the expected norm of being “schooled” about pregnancy and birth. We’ve worked a lifetime within the community and have heard from our clients about what they did and did not find useful in their class experience. Years of attending births in all settings as well as providing postpartum care has deeply informed us about how what happens at a birth, impacts the postpartum period. This is essential understanding. We can walk you through what you need to know to prepare you for the birth experience and beyond into the all important and foundational, “Fourth Trimester”, those first 12 weeks after baby is born.
