So...You’re pregnant and brand new at parenting. Feel so very excited yet uncertain, maybe even anxious?
Hearing advice and getting pointers from family, friends, care providers and even people on the street? Find that even though you may not have experience and certainly understand and appreciate support, you want to navigate this birth and parenting experience your own way? Truly, whether you know it or not you are your baby’s expert and first teacher. No one knows your baby like you do!
Pregnancy, Birth, Postpartum, Lactation...
At first, the challenges more often than not, will feel overwhelmingly daunting and in the beginning, truly the reality is such. You may have heard this but didn’t really understand how much so. You probably thought - like so many of the families we worked with have told us - “We know it’s not easy but so many people have done this, how hard could it be?”
And then the baby comes...
Even and especially in times where you may wonder how you will manage getting through the intensity of newborn parenting, we KNOW you can do it! And we are here to support YOUR unique circumstance. And here’s why...
First and foremost we are parents ourselves and although each experience is unique, each of us has personally journeyed through and understand what you now are embarking upon.
We are in every sense, family care and newborn specialists...
Drawn from a wellspring of personal and professional experience, our expertise spans a lifetime of caring for all types of families throughout pregnancy, labor/delivery, early postpartum and beyond. Attending births and providing prenatal/postpartum home care and lactation support is indeed quite intimate work. Getting to know and working closely with families through such a transformational period, building and nurturing a trusting rapport is essential. This is has always been the focus and foundation of the custom care we provide.
First child?
Having a trusted guide and mentor by your side who has been through it themselves and knows you have what it takes - even if you feel you do not - can make all the difference.
Been through this before? So have we!
Each of us has birthed, breastfed and parented more than one child. Some of us are grandparents as well. We know the best laid plans most often find their way down a road we may not have anticipated. Having experienced support to navigate an uncharted course helps make the trip less uncertain.
