Breakdown of Care
Two in-home prenatal visits
As you get closer to the due date, sometime before 36-37 weeks we will schedule in home prenatal visits. Here is where the core work begins and all involved get to know one another. We will cover all aspects of labor, delivery and early postpartum as well as discuss and explore your questions, ideas and concerns. By the time labor begins, we will have built a rapport and prepared for the birth journey.

Support Begins
You and your Doula stay connected...
Questions, keeping your Doula up to speed regarding how things are going, visits with your Midwife or OB, sharing information or simply checking in to see how you're feeling, are communicated via email, text, video or phone calls.

We show up and provide continuous support throughout the birth experience - which could include labor culminating in a vaginal or surgical delivery - and immediate postpartum.
-
When baby is born, assistance with beginning lactation/newborn feeding and support following the birth until family is settled in. Depending on birth, usually two or so hours after baby is born.
-
More time is spent if wanted or needed.
-
Postpartum visit usually within the first three - five days after the birth. Visit is most often in home. If wanted or needed can take place at hospital or birthing center.
